He was turned in the Battle of Orsha by his commanding officer. Since meeting best friends Leo (a werewolf) and Pearl (a ghost) in 1955, Hal has managed to stay off the blood by sticking to a rigid structure and keeping away from all people. Coming to Honolulu Heights is a huge disruption for Hal. And he doesn’t cope well with disruption. At first, Hal – the stand-offish, posh vampire – and Tom – the common, feral werewolf – find themselves at loggerheads, but once a mutual respect is gained, we see this odd couple become close.

Tomas McNair

Thomas McNair (Michael Socha) was a young twenty-something werewolf, living a nomadic life in a camper van with his adopted father McNair. Their lifestyles as itinerant vampire killers has left Thomas socially isolated and dreaming of making a family with "the pack" of werewolves whom McNair claims exist somewhere. Although Thomas had lived his life believing that he was McNair's son, born a werewolf (and that his mother had died during a vampire attack), Nina's subsequent examination of his blood revealed that he was actually the child of a random couple McNair had attacked during an early transformation in Cornwall. McNair subsequently took him in out of conscience as he realised that he had 'infected' the boy with the werewolf 'contagion'. Although he was briefly attracted to Nina, he pushed this aside after he learned the truth about the nature of the 'wolf'. Initially angry at McNair for lying to him about his past, the two appeared to reconcile after McNair and Mitchell rescued Thomas, George and Nina from a cage-fight, although he seems to be more interested in making his own way.[10] Following McNair's death at the hands of Herrick, Thomas is once again orphaned. Despite McNair's last wish being that Thomas does not carry on his adoptive father's feud against vampires, the grief-stricken Thomas pursues Herrick and Mitchell to avenge McNair's death, killing at least two vampires along the way, although he is prevented from taking full vengeance due to a Mexican stand-off involving a threat to George.

Following McNair’s death, Tom stays in Barry and is welcomed into Honolulu Heights, putting his nomadic life and his mission to kill all vampires (mostly!) behind him, and trying to learn to live like a human, love like a human and fight like a human.

Nina Pickering Season 3

During her first transformation at their new home, Nina and George apparently have sex while in wolf form, despite George's belief that one of them would kill the other if they transformed in close proximity to each other. She later assists George in helping the permanently teenage vampire Adam, the two briefly contemplating taking over responsibility for Adam after his parents' deaths from old age before Adam departs to make his own way, wanting to explore his own independence without being a burden on them like he was on his parents. After learning that she was pregnant as a result of her and George's intercourse while in wolf form, Nina admits that her mother abused her when she was a child, contemplating terminating the pregnancy both because she fears the consequences of two werewolves creating a child and because she is afraid of repeating her mother's treatment of her. However, after the 'zombie' Sasha admitted that her only regret was missing so many moments in life because she was more focused on the present than the future, Nina decided to keep the baby. Although they have not yet been able to determine what the baby will look like when born, or if it will 'inherit' the werewolf 'gene', Nina has apparently kept the baby despite the stress of her first pregnant transformation, although it is unclear how this will work as her condition progresses. Following a confrontation between Mitchell and Nina over Herrick's fate, along with Herrick's subsequent discovery of a 'diary' of Mitchell's recent murders, Mitchell has begun to suspect that Nina is the werewolf that is 'prophesied' to kill him.

When George and Nina arranged an ultrasound to examine their baby, the nurse carrying out the operation noted that Nina appeared to be sixteen weeks along rather than the eight she believed, but George speculated that this was just the result of werewolves gestating faster than humans, much like conventional wolves. However, Nina was subsequently stabbed by the now-restored Herrick after Mitchell was arrested by the police, Herrick wanting to make George suffer like he did when George killed him, expressing regret at attacking and stabbing Nina after she was the only person in the house to show him kindness. Fortunately, Annie was able to convince Lia to help her save Nina and the baby after convincing her that revenge couldn't solve anything.

Nina Pickering Season 2

She and George go through tough times during the first episode in season 2, which concludes with Nina revealing her scratch marks to George and that she is now a werewolf as well, during an argument. In episode 2 of the second series, Nina and George try to make things work, but Nina leaves George upon discovering that he helped a vampire who killed his own lover escape the country, subsequently being contacted by the mysterious Kemp and participating in research for a werewolf 'cure' (Unaware that Kemp's experiment with a hyperbaric chamber would have killed her if it weren't for the intervention of Professor Lucy Jaggat). While George and Mitchell are willing to be around Lucy after her true agenda is exposed, Nina is furious that she was willing to lead them to their deaths and harboured an intense dislike for her. She moves to Wales with George and Mitchell after Annie goes through the door.

Nina Pickering Season 1

Nina Pickering (Sinead Keenan) is a senior staff nurse at the hospital in which Mitchell and George work, with a fiery and strong manner that can be intimidating. She initially views George as a bumbling, arrogant fool, but falls for him later after seeing his more caring side with the patients. When they start going out, Nina reveals burn scarring over a large portion of her stomach. While Nina and George eventually fall in love, George struggles with having another person in his life he can potentially hurt and tries to distance himself several times. However, their fates become entwined permanently in the series 1 finale, when George inadvertently scratches Nina during a transformation, passing the werewolf curse onto her as well.

John Mitchell Season 3

When Mitchell enters Purgatory to rescue Annie – following a terminally ill patient at the hospital where George and Nina now work through the Door after his demise -, he learns that the time and date of his death has been confirmed, and he will be killed by a werewolf at some unspecified- but apparently not-too-distant- future date, although he later comments to Annie that he doesn't believe a word of what he heard. Although haunted by both the 'prophecy' of his death and the continued police hunt for the person responsible for the 'Box Tunnel Twenty' massacre, Mitchell rejected an offer to depart Britain to live with the vampire 'Old Ones', commenting during a talk with permanently teenage vampire Adam that his friends help him remain clean as their goodness inspires him by forcing him to think about the disappointment they would feel if he succumbed to his thirst. After a confrontation with vampire 'fan' Graham, Mitchell tried to tell Annie the truth about the tunnel massacre, but Annie simply told him that whatever he had to tell her didn't matter, assuring him that all she wanted was the man he was now and that what he'd done in the past didn't matter compared to what he'd done for her and George, the two subsequently kissing. Although Annie tries to find ways for their relationship to become physical at first, Mitchell admits that he actually prefers their current bond, as sex has always been about violence rather than love with him, and he prefers for his relationship with Annie to be 'pure' and apart from that.

Despite some tension with werewolf vampire-hunter McNair due to Mitchell's concerns regarding the 'prophecy' of his death- although he claims to Annie that he doesn't believe in fate-, Mitchell and McNair reached a certain understanding when they worked together to save George and Nina from a group of vampires, although McNair still feels that Mitchell's sins will catch up to him eventually. When Herrick returns to life, Mitchell initially attempts to stake him- particularly after Cara stakes herself before she can tell Mitchell how she and Daisy brought Herrick back-, but is convinced by George to let Herrick live on the grounds that he deserves the same chances everyone has given Mitchell. When Annie learns about Mitchell's role in the massacre, she tearfully convinced him to allow himself to be arrested, Mitchell going along with it to prove his love for her even as he tries to escape being processed due to the risks if his true nature is exposed.

Although Herrick released Mitchell- revealing in the process that his resurrection was aided by the fact that he was torn apart rather than just being staked-, Mitchell finally staked Herrick when he concluded that he had seen and done enough in his life. With the news that another man had been framed for the Box Tunnel Twenty he returned to the house to ask George to kill him, recognising that whoever had set up that frame would want a favour later and wanting to free his friends of the taint he had brought to their lives. He is then killed by George, after The Old Ones' attempt to use Mitchell to do their dirty work (work spelled out by old one Wyndham). George's last words to Mitchell are: "I'm doing this because I love you", to which Mitchell responds "I know".

John Mitchell Season 2

In episode 3 of series 2 Mitchell has become the new "king" of the vampire group in Bristol, hiding evidence of their feedings, recreating their human front and intending to wean them off blood, although his activities are hampered by such problems as Ivan – his oldest apparent 'recruit' – being unable to completely forsake blood after so long, forcing him to allow Ivan to feed in secret while maintaining his public front. After the deaths of his vampire group by an explosion at the funeral parlour, subsequently receiving confirmation that they have been betrayed by the coroner despite a deal he had made, Mitchell realises that he has wasted his time trying to hide his blood lust and goes on a frenzy with Daisy, the now-widow of Ivan. Paying a last visit to George and Annie, he briefly seems to return to normal when warning George to stay away from cities in future before returning to his more arrogant, blood-crazed ways. A confrontation with a priest while searching for Lucy reminds him that George saw him as a good man when he was injured by Herrick, and reveals Lucy's connection to the organisation that seeks to 'cure' George and Annie. Finding the organisation's headquarters, Mitchell confronts Lucy, countering her claims that he and his kind are evil with both the theological argument that God made them just as he made mankind and by pointing out that she killed despite having a choice, but he nevertheless refuses to kill her or Kemp. He later shows evident grief when Lucy is killed by Kemp.

John Mitchell Season 1

John Mitchell (Aidan Turner),is a 117-year-old vampire (born on 29 July 1893)[8] with the appearance of a young man in his twenties. He has chosen to give up drinking blood and preying on humans, attempting instead (insofar as it is possible) to become human again. Like other vampires, Mitchell has enhanced strength and sense of smell, and his eyes turn completely dark when he has blood lust or when he wills it; though it appears that he is slightly weaker when he abstains from drinking blood, he can survive without it. His image can't be captured on film and he has no reflection in mirrors. Although he can survive daylight, his eyes are overly-sensitive to natural light, prompting him often to wear sunglasses outside in the daytime. He often wears dark clothing, rings and fingerless gloves. Publicly quiet and calm, he works as a hospital cleaner ( a deliberate choice, as it's a low-status, low profile job which enables him to live quietly with the minimum of commitments or chances of exposure). Mitchell is almost always referred to by his surname by his friends.

Born in 1893 and Irish by birth, Mitchell fought as a young soldier in World War I, when he was originally recruited as a vampire by William Herrick. He encountered Herrick after a battle, stumbled upon him and several other vampires who were picking through piles of bodies for anyone living to feed on. Mitchell agreed to feed Herrick and become a vampire in exchange for Herrick leaving the rest of his men alone. He rejoined his regiment, hoping that no one had realised that he's changed, but became so hungry that he steals poison from the medical supplies, kills one of his friends and drains his blood before deserting the army and running away. At some later point he rejoined Herrick and the vampire community, accepting his new vampire nature.

In his early years as a vampire (and before his conscience was reawakened), Mitchell was quite a hero within the vampire community, who still circulate stories of his exploits amongst themselves. These seem to be a cause of great guilt for Mitchell who has asked Herrick to stop the retelling of the stories as he would prefer to be forgotten.[9] At several points, he has faced a conflict of emotions as he debates whether to 'convert' people dying around him to prevent their deaths. In the 1960s, Herrick gave Mitchell the opportunity to kill a young girl that they had lured into their car. Mitchell showed guilt and anger at the easiness of the kill and let her go. He told Herrick that she had escaped, prompting the suspicious Herrick to say that he would keep a closer eye on Mitchell.[6] Mitchell has attempted several times to abstain from drinking blood (one attempt was a New Year resolution for 2000, with the aid of a fellow vampire called Carl). At this time, Mitchell showed an extreme addiction to blood, as well as heightened aggression, lack of control and extreme panic due to blood withdrawal.

Mitchell's reluctant rescue of the werewolf George from a squad of fellow vampires, and the subsequent development of their friendship, further awakened his conscience, and he eventually opted to drift away from the vampire group in Bristol and to join George in living quietly. After 'converting' Lauren into a vampire (as covered in both the pilot episode and Series One Episode 1), Mitchell, infuriated at himself, decided to fully give up the blood and to attempt "being human" once more. He continues to take care of George, particularly around the full moon when George transforms.

George Sands Season 3

Having relocated to Barry Island, George and Nina have started work at a new hospital, using the basement room of their new house for one of them to remain during the full moon. However, despite George's belief that he or Nina would kill the other if they transformed next to each other, the two of them apparently had sex while in wolf form. When Nina discovered the permanently-teenage vampire Adam as his elderly father was admitted to the hospital shortly before his death, she and George briefly contemplated taking over responsibility for Adam after his parents' deaths- George speculating that they pretend that Adam was his brother until he and Nina were old enough for them to introduce him as their son-, but Adam departs to make his own way, wanting to explore his own independence without being a burden on them like he was on his parents. As a result of their sexual intercourse while in wolf form, George and Nina are now expecting a baby. Following Herrick's resurrection, despite his knowledge of what Herrick was in the past, George refuses to allow Mitchell to stake Herrick as he wants to be the kind of father who can legitimately teach his child about redemption and forgiveness, feeling that the now-amnesic Herrick deserves the same chance as they have given Mitchell.

When Annie found a death notice for George's father in the paper, George attended the funeral and encountered what he believed was his father's ghost, only to subsequently learn that his father had actually faked his death after a homeless man burnt to death in his shed after his wife had an affair with George's old P.E. teacher. George and Nina were able to convince him to assert himself in his relationship with his wife, the two resuming their relationship with a trip to Cornwall (although they apparently believe that George has H.I.V. rather than that he is a werewolf).

With the discovery that Mitchell was responsible for the Box Tunnel Twenty, he returned to the house to ask George to kill him, wanting to ensure that he couldn't kill anyone else and that George was freed from the 'taint' of helping him escape the consequences of his past sins. Understandably George is reluctant to kill his best mate but when vampire, Edgar Wyndham, states out his intent to use Mitchell as an 'attack dog', George carries out Mitchell's request and kills him, telling Mitchell that he is "doing this because he loves him."

George Sands Season 2

George attempted to find new ways of coping with his 'condition' in Series Two while trying to take action to lead a normal life. This included such measures as caging himself and taking tranquilisers before transforming – but this apparently only made the wolf angrier, resulting in uncontrollable swearing and a more brutal mentality in his human form, as though the wolf was trying to 'get out' in revenge for being 'chained'. Matters became even worse when he accompanied Sam, his new girlfriend, to her daughter Molly's Parents' Evening, only to nearly transform at the school because he was unaware that the clocks had gone back; although he managed to maintain control of himself long enough to get back to the flat and be locked in his cage by Annie, Molly's subsequent terror after seeing him mid-transformation prompted George to look into a cure for his condition once again, only to change his mind once again when Annie reminds him that he will be unable to see her as a human. He reunites with Nina, and they leave the chamber after finding a message from Tully written at the bottom of one of the walls: 'George, all the werewolves die.' He and Nina watch Annie being forced through the door and they, and Mitchell, later move to Wales because they are unable to stay in the house after losing Annie.

George Sands Season 1

George Sands Junior (Russell Tovey),is a young werewolf in his mid-twenties, and Mitchell's best friend. He also shared a close, sibling-like friendship with Annie. Less socially adept than Mitchell, he is considerably more intellectual, possessing an IQ of 156 and being able to speak French, German, Italian, Spanish and Croatian. George grew up in an average suburban household with what he considered to be a very straightforward family, including a father who possessed none of the handicaps or problems such as alcoholism or gambling which George saw in other peoples' fathers. (He would reflect later on that at the time he had never realised how important 'boring' could be.) George is Jewish and wears a Star of David pendant.[5] The pendant is able to hold back one or two vampires, but in greater numbers it becomes less effective; Mitchell is apparently immune to it due to the personal connection between him and George. It was mentioned in the pilot, however, that George is a lapsed Jew as he believes the faith frowns upon someone turning into a werewolf.

George became a werewolf while on holiday in Scotland. He was about to go out for a walk when an American tourist, not knowing his way around, invited himself along after George reluctantly let him. They both got lost as night fell and were attacked by a werewolf – later revealed to be a man named Tully, who later came looking for him in search of companionship – who killed the tourist and scratched George, who survived when the rescue services found him.[6] After becoming a werewolf, George left his family, his job and his fiancée, afraid of hurting them. He works alongside Mitchell as a porter in the local hospital, unable to hold down a more permanent job due to his monthly transformations, which are extremely painful.

George resents being a werewolf to the extent that he is essentially in denial about his condition, often referring to it as 'that thing that happens to me once a month'. For the whole of Series 1, he attempted to view his wolf side as an entirely different entity – when referring to his wolf self, he never used 'I' or 'me', only an impersonal 'it'; His denial ends after the last episode of the first season, when he takes responsibility for his actions as a wolf after accidentally scratching Nina during a transformation whilst trying to protect her from the vampire Herrick.

Annie Sawyer Season 3

Trailing series 3, Annie appeared in a series of videos on the BBC website, sending messages from the other side. In the final one, viewers saw that she was being sent to hell, with the gatekeepers making a special room for her and burning the key. However, she is subsequently permitted to leave with Mitchell when he enters Purgatory to recover her. Lia – Mitchell's spiritual guide- informs her that the complications were caused by her entering the afterlife through the 'wrong door', although noting that she will still have to come back through the right one eventually. Upon returning from Purgatory, Annie is reunited with George and Nina in the quartet's new home in Barry Island, Wales.

Overwhelmed with gratitude to Mitchell for having rescuing her, Annie begins to fall for him and appoints herself as his guardian angel. Although her first attempts at helping him end in disaster, she manages to get him a job. On a celebratory walk on the seafront, Mitchell tells her she must stop defining herself by what she does for other people, but Annie opposes this, expressing that it was he, George and Nina that she came back for and that if it wasn't for them she might as well be in Purgatory. After learning that Mitchell's journey into Purgatory to rescue her had resulted in the creation of at least five zombie-like beings – dead bodies who nevertheless continued walking and talking – Annie attempted to help Sasha, the last surviving 'zombie', adapt to her current state. She providing Sasha with a makeover to conceal the worst of her decay, and when this failed, remained with Sasha as her body finally collapses. After this, Mitchell's resistance to Annie's love weakens, and he attempts to tell her the truth about his recent actions (including the Box Tunnel Massacre). Annie stops him before he can confess, assuring him that – regardless of the terrible things he'd done in his past – all she cares about was the man he was now. The two subsequently kiss and embark on a full partnership.

However, attempts by Annie and Mitchell to develop a sex life are unsuccessful. Annie attempts to bypass the problem by suggesting that Mitchell has a one-night-stand while Annie 'shares' the experience with the woman. This plan backfires when Mitchell's vampire instincts take over and he attempts to drain the woman's blood, although he stops himself. After sending the woman away, he admits to Annie that he's actually content to have a non-physical relationship with her (as sex has always been about violence with him rather than love) and that he regards their relationship as something 'pure'. Things took a turn for the worse when Annie finally learned that Mitchell had been involved in the Box Tunnel 20 Massacre. Devastated, she convinced Mitchell to let himself be arrested despite the wider dangers if his true nature is discovered.

In the third series final, Annie learns of Mitchell's "wolf-shaped bullet" and that it was the price of her return. After discovering Nina injured in the hospital and receiving a message from the other side, she returns to purgatory in the hopes of sacrificing herself to repel the prophecy, but learns from Lia that there was never any prophecy at all. Lia intends to keep Annie in purgatory in order to deprive Mitchell of her – Lia's true revenge on Mitchell. Annie also witnesses the fight Herrick had stirred up between George and Mitchell, and Lia informs her that Mitchell had fulfilled the nonexistent prophecy himself. Annie concludes that Nina must still be alive as she has not passed over, and convinces Lia that her revenge is unjust. Lia allows Annie to depart, and Annie arrives back in the hospital to find Nina alive and still carrying the baby.

Back at the house, Annie, George and Nina find a blood-soaked Mitchell on their doorstep. Mitchell persuades George to kill him and bids farewell to Annie with the words "You were the love of my long life". She replies that he is the love of hers, but before George can stake Mitchell, Wyndall appears and announces that the vampires are taking control of the world. He implies that Annie is a lot stronger than she imagines. But when he says that Mitchell will be used to kill for him, George stakes Mitchell in the heart. Annie, George and Nina watch as their vampire friend disintegrates, then stand together as they warn Wyndall that he has a fight on his hands.

Annie Sawyer Season 2

In Series 2, Annie has found strength and a greater degree of happiness by both dealing with Owen and helping to save her friends. She now begins to develop a greater degree of physical presence, and is able to be seen by more people, to the point where she is able to get a job and develop a couple of tentative romantic relationships. However, before much longer Annie is confronted once more with the Door to Death. This time it is accompanied by voices which communicate from inside the Door and through radio and TV sets, who tell her they need her there. These turn out to be the Gatekeepers, malign entities from the world of the dead who set a trap to force her to cross over. Although she escapes (aided by George), she pays the price of losing the presence she has won, and can no longer be seen or heard by anybody but other supernatural beings.

Despite her disappointments, Annie demonstrates a superior strength of will when dealing with a stage psychic who had lost his gift. Unable to hear ghosts following a stage accident, he can nonetheless hear Annie, speculating that it was her strength of will that allowed him to hear her, with his gift being reawakened by contact with her. Annie was even able to see and say goodbye to her mother during her time with the psychic, folding a paper rose for her mother as she had used to do as a girl after seeing the method explained on Blue Peter.

In the final episode of series 2, Annie is sent to the other side by Kemp, who kills a psychic that had been working with them in order to create a Door for her to pass through. Annie punishes Kemp later by returning unexpectedly through another Door and dragging Kemp back with her. She subsequently manifested on the TV in the group's new house, saying that her current situation was 'complicated', and explaining it as involving a horrifying system of moving continually from waiting room to waiting rooms via a system of calling numbers and signing forms, with her roommates disappearing and cruel laughter being heard from behind closed doors. The series ended with Mitchell, George and Nina promising to find some way to free her.

Annie Sawyer Season 1

Anna Clare Sawyer (Lenora Crichlow), known commonly as "Annie", is a ghost, appearing as she did at the time of her death in her early twenties. Up until her death, she had been living with her fiancé Owen (whom she later revealed had been her third serious relationship, her previous two having ended when her first boyfriend posted naked pictures of her on the Internet and when her second boyfriend drunkenly invited her mother to form a threesome). Following her death, she haunted the house which she and Owen had lived in while she was alive, and which Owen was now running as landlord (eventually renting it out to George and Mitchell).

Annie's ability to be seen and heard by normal people depends on her state of mind, although supernatural creatures can always see her. Annie appears in the clothes she was wearing when she died, which change subtly depending on her mood.[3] She is capable of teleporting herself short distances. For promotional purposes, Annie's condition as a ghost is highlighted in the show's publicity photos with the addition of a glowing aura and a degree of transparency: as seen in the show itself, she has no such additions, appearing just as corporeal as the other characters around her.) When first introduced, Annie was a notably insecure ghost, unwilling to leave the house. Overjoyed to be living with people who could actually see her, she tended to mother Mitchell and George (infuriating George by continually making tea). The reason for her remaining as a ghost was initially unclear, and she spent a lot of her time alternating between finding occupations for her time and emotions or explanations for any "unfinished business" which might be causing her to stay.

Initially, the cause of Annie's death was supposedly that she "fell awkwardly" down the stairs. It was later revealed that she had been blocking out her memories of the fact that Owen had been abusive towards her, and that he himself had killed her after finding thong underwear in her possession. Confronting her and accusing her of infidelity, as an excuse for tormenting her, he had pushed her down the stairs to her death and had flushed the thong down the toilet. (It would stick in the plumbing, eventually causing the rattling in the pipes which led to Annie's regaining of her memories). When Annie discovers her cause of death, she becomes a poltergeist, which allows her to move objects without touching them and turn machines on. At first, it seems that she can't control these newly found abilities, which only activate in times of extreme emotional distress (along with her teleportation).

In Series 1 Episode 5, the Door to Death appears for Annie once she has resolved the issue that was keeping her on earth — her murder. But before she can pass through the Door, Mitchell is stabbed, and she decides to stay to help him. Because of this, she missed her chance to leave and has to stay on earth in her undead state. She can now hear dead people, teleport further distances, and has greater powers of telekinesis, which she describes as "a whole new skill set."

The Eve of War

Season 4 also looks to escalate the fight against the vampire contingent. But the stories won't be wall-to-wall war, as Hal, Annie, and Tom will also be encountering "a sort-of new kind of supernatural" creature, according to Whithouse's veiled blog commentary.

The supporting cast for this new era is also new names leavened by the occasional familiar face from the show's past. Several castin decisions have been announced, including:

S4 EP8 Spellbound

Picking up right where we left off from last week, Marnie’s coven are chanting attempting expose all the vampires into the sun and poor Jessica looks to become one of their victims. Low and behold Jason comes to her rescue before she can burn to a crispy critter only to find out the because of the spell instead of being grateful for his heroic act he just may become the mid afternoon snack. Right before Jason fears it may be too late for him, Jessica comes to and thanks him for saving her as they have tender moment. Returning Jessica to the cell, Bill is relieved Jessica has not met the sun and tells Jason that they are in his debt while Jason restrains Jessica under silver again for the remainder of the day.

At the Shreveport pack, Alcide and Debbie attend a pack meeting where Marcus stresses to everyone that the pack will not be getting involved in with the war between the vampires and the witches. Alcide does not seem to be all that happy in that decision. As Alcide and Debbie start to leave the get together, Alcide is drawn into stopping a fight between a few pack members and impressing Marcus in the long run.

Sam heads to lunas to explain how sorry he is for his for his brother’s actions and tells her he is out of his life. After being invited in for dinner during the meal Luna’s ex Marcus arrives and starts to pick a fight with same due to being jealous of the fact she is having a relationship with a shifter. After threatening Sam Marcus leaves reassuring Sam it won’t be the last he has seen of him.

Over at Sookie’s she helps take the silver off of Eric since it is no longer daylight. Seeing that he is to week to recover and heal fast enough she offers her blood to heal him. Eric Tells Sookie to silver him if he becomes uncontrollable so as not to harm her, after taking a small about he offers his blood to her telling her that they shall be one! And so the blood bond begins!!!! Eric and Sookie then seem to take a V trip scene where they make lo in a Viking like setting on a bed of fur in the middle of the woods in the snow……I had much more to say about this scene since I was so damn disappointed from the scene that I looked forward to seeing from the books since I read it, and I am talking years of anticipation!!! See here for my rants about it…lol Ugh even more of the trippy sex blah blah. After the V trip, Eric and Sookie have a heartfelt conversation of how they should help the King in this fight because it is the right thing to do convo. Eric tries to convince Sookie to just run away with him so they can live together in forever and professes his love for her.

Jessica has a few dreams while waiting to be unsilvered about her and Hoyt. In her dream she tells Hoyt they no longer can be together all the while Hoyt begs and pleads with her to say with him. Seriously Hoyt be a man lol. Jessica annoyed with how he is reacting smashes Hoyts head onto the table killing him instantly and goes to have sex with Jason. She then wakes up to a human donor that she is to feed on to heal. She then goes home to tell Hoyt that she feels they should in fact break up. Hoyt however, unlike in her dream, is mad as hell and treat her like shit and says some extremely nasty things then rescinds her invitation to prevent her of being inside the house. Hurt and confused, Jessica’s goes over to Jason’s hoping for comfort only to be rejected yet again.

Jason joins up with Andy on a vampire crime scene where Andy, with his V addiction is almost ready to lick the remains of the vampire right off the ground when Jason has to stop him. As Jason is yells at him to pull himself together, Andy has yet another great line stating “Jesus Tits and god America Jason what the fuck is happening to me dud?!” lmao Now that one is right up with last season’s statement “Conscience off Dick on and everything is going to be all right”! King Bill arrives to make a statement on the tragic events of the apparent vampire suicide as to easy the public’s concern for their safety.

Back ate the moon goddess emporium, Marnie/Antonia are outraged at the small outcome of their plans to destroy the vampires. As she rants and raves to Tara, Tara is happy to help in the quest to vanquish all of the undead as she answers the phone. Bill, surprised to hear Tara’s voice, asks to speak with Antonia. He purposes a meeting to establish peace among the vampires and the witches and apologizes for all the wrong doings she had to endure. She accepts and they set up to meet at midnight in the Bon Temps Cemetery.

Meanwhile Tommy sets out to break into Maxine Fortenberry’s house and steels a few items like clothes jewelry and other personal things of hers. At Merlotte’s Arlene and Terry have an argument over Mikey while the strange ghost woman comes to visit him singing him a lullaby in creole when he walks in on her and realizing she is a ghost says screw this and walks back on out of the kitchen. Tommy arrives having shifted into Maxine Fortenberry to meet up with a man to discuss getting money from her property.

Lafayette has a dream back at his house about what happened to the ghost woman and what had happened to her and her newborn child. After he awakes he sees he standing in his living room and before he can do anything to prevent it, she takes over his body. She then goes as layette to the bellefluers where she/he takes Mikey thinking he is her son.

Eric and Sookie visit Bill and pledge their allegiance and convince Bill to let them help in his fight aginst the witches. Knowing he will not convince tm to stay out of it he reltuctantly aggrees and accepts their help. As they meet at the cemetery, Bill and Marnie agree they are not on their own. Sookie is surprised of Tara’s presence but knows what she must do. As Marnie and Bill talk negotiations Sookie hears that a spell is being cast and warns Bill. Eric takes the first actin ripping out a witches heart smiling all along then all hell breaks loose. Knowing all of this is going down Alcide runs in the aid of Sookie hearing the screams on the cemetery. Bill forbids Pam to harm Tara and she asked why he cared with his reply of she knows why. Sookie is shot into the crossfire and Eric and Bill start to run to her aid when Bill is chained in silver and Eric is put under yet another spell from Antonia. Alcide finds Sookie and runs her out of the chaos back to her house, yet little does he know Debbie followed him seeing how he is trying to save sookie after he promised to stay away from her.

S4 EP6 I Wish I Was The Moon

After the long awaited kiss between Eric and Sookie we open with the two of them moving it into the house and escalating into taking off each others clothing. At this point I’m like woo hoo!! But that moment is interrupted as well as Eric and Sookie by party pooper Bill busting into Sookie’s house uninvited (she really needs to get that fixed..lol) and he and Eric start throwing each other around. Eric is about to stake Bill with a fireplace poker when Sookie tells him he can’t “he is your king”. Dan it Sookie, what a wasted opportunity there!

Bill, the jealous jerk that he is, arrests Eric as Sookie follows them back to Bill’s plantation. Sookie and Bill argue and of course he is sore at the fact that she lied to him about Eric being there when she reminds him he has no right talking to her about lying. (Bill must have a short term memory in the fact he lied to her countless times from the very moment of laying eyes upon her). Eric attempts to tell Sookie she has done enough and o not worry about him and of course Bill shows that jealous side of himself when he states that she certainly has. Sookie however fires back that he has been sticking his fangs and whatever else in who knows (there’s that short term memory thing we were just talking about there Bill, only a few days ago you were screwing in biting Katie and Sookie walked into that awkward situation. You may want to get that checked out there mate!) As the argument ensues, Bill tells Sookie she needs to stay out of it and go home but when she refuses to leave without Eric, Bill instructs his guards to arrest her if she sets foot on his property again. Yeah that is so not going to help win her back there buddy.

Down in the holding cells Eric is put in with Pam. He sees she is falling apart, literally. Pam tries to tell Eric who he really is but Eric refuses to be who he was before. Pam pleads but Eric tells her he no longer wants to be the way he was before he lost his memories, he tells her he is not the vampire she thinks he is, at least not anymore. Poor Pam is really getting the short end of the stick in this situation here. Up in Bill’s office he contacts the AVL’s spoke person Nan Flanagan and explains how he has both Eric and the witch in custody. He explains about Eric, well at least in his view, and recommends his true death. Nan says she will see what she can do and get back to him.

Over at Arlene and Terry’s they are woken by a fire in the bedroom. Terry gets Coby and Lisa out of the house but Arlene cannot find Mikey. Terry takes Arlene out and attempts to go back in when the house explodes. They find that Mikey was already outside when Mikey smiles and laughs seeing a mysterious woman smiling back but Arlene is not able to see anything there. The next morning Sam is there to survey e damages when Andy pulls up yelling at him. Sam tells him he has had about enough of his crap and they are interrupted when Holly asks Andy for assistance carrying some furniture. As they talk they end up agreeing to a date together at Merlotte’s.

Sam calls Tommy to let him know about the fires and tells him he will be there all day and asks if he can take over at the bar for him. Tommy still distraught over what happened with his parents starts hitting himself and turns into Sam. As if enough freaky things haven’t happened to this poor kid already. Sookie arrives at Merlotte’s to tell Sam that she cannot work. Not knowing that it is Tommy and not Sam, Tomsam fires her and tells her to get out. Tomsam then goes out into the restaurant to take charge where he finds Maxine Forttenberry. He goes to talk to her and find she his hurt upset and pissed at Tommy for leaving her the way he did.

Down in Mexico Lafayette and Jesus have breakfast with his Brujo grandfather. As Lafayette is grossed out about the serving of goat’s tongue, Jesus tells his grandfather that they seek help from him. After expressing his feeling that Jesus has stayed away from him for twenty years and now has the odassidy to come to him for help. He tells Jesus if he can bring him a sacrifice, then he will help him. That night Jesus and Lafayette sit in the field awaiting for this so called sacrifice when a snake approaches and Jesus captures it and takes it back to his grandfather. He shows Jesus and Lafayette that Marnie is using bloodletting to assume possession then has the snake bite Jesus. Lafayette is then possessed by a spirit and talks to Jesus to comfort him.

At Lafayette’s place Tara is woken up by a knock at the door. She opens the door to her lover from New Orleans and attempts to explain why she lied about who she was. Having every right, her girlfriend is highly pissed but they make up soon after. They end up going to Merlotte's for some dinner where Jessica goes to wait on them. While Tara starts to order, Jessica stops, her fangs come out and she takes off. Naomi asks Tara what that was all about and Tara replies "see, fucking vampires". Outside of Merlotte’s Tara and her girlfriend are greeted by Pam who makes it known that she is pissed and going to make good on her word to make her pay for what she and Marnie have done to her and Eric.

Sookie goes to Jason’s only to find him handcuffed to his own bed. Thinking it is a sex thing he got himself involved in yet again, Jason explains that he handcuffed himself to his bed because he believes he is going to turn into a were panther. Sookie realizing that he seriously believes what he is saying agrees to help him and take care of him throughout this ordeal. That night the two of them talk while sitting outside waiting to see if anything happens. Jason asks Sookie to go in and grab him a beer but when she comes back she finds that Jason ran off into the woods, she grabs a shotgun and runs in after him.

Out in the woods Jason starts to scare himself when he is frightened by Jessica arriving to make sure he is ok telling him she can sense his fear because he drank her blood. She stays with him to comfort him and make sure nothing happens to him understanding how he must feel since she went through something similar when she was made. Realizing that nothing is going to happen, Jason thanks Jessica for staying with him and awkwardly they say goodnight to each other.

Over in Shreveport, Alcide arrives home only to find Debbie sitting in his living room talking to the very man he kicked off his property last night, Marcus. Marcus apologizes on getting off on the wrong foot but that Debbie is welcomed in his pack and that he hopes Alcide would reconsider. Alcide tells him to leave and is pissed at Debbie for joining the pack without discussing it with him first. Debbie explains that she needs this so she doesn’t end up becoming who she used to be before. Alcide, the nice gullible guy that he is, agrees to go with her tonight to shift with the pack. That night they run into Sookie in the woods while she is out looking Jason. Sookie asks Alcide about how you would become a were panther but Debbie tells her you have to be born that way, happy about the news she leaves to find Jason to tell him he has nothing to worry about. Alcide, worried about Sookie alone in the woods, reluctantly goes with Debbie to join the pack.

Back at the Compton house, Marnie begs and tries to summon the spirit to come and help her. She is shown another vision of the Spirit being fed on and raped by vampire priests then burned at the stake. Afterwards she appears to Marnie and joins with her in the fight against vampires by possessing her body. Luis sees her on the monitor and goes down to find Marnie is possessed by Antonia, the witch who was burned at the Spanish Inquisition who had killed his maker. He goes to kill her when she stops him and takes control of him making him kneel in front of her like a dog.

Tomsam is surprised by a visit from Luna who unknowing that he is not really Sam seduces him into sleeping with her. Afterwards Tom Sam feeling sick and not knowing what is wrong, kicks Luna out of the trailer just in enough time before he shifts back to Tommy and becomes violently ill. After Sam is finished up from the fire, he arrives back to the trailer only to find Tommy passed out on the floor in a pile of blood and vomit…eeeeewwwww gross!!!!

Bill waits outside as the guards bring forth Eric for execution. When Eric is asked if he has anything to say before he dies, Eric says ho release Pam and to tell Sookie that was born when she found him that night. He also tells bill that Sookie deserves to be happy with whoever can give her happiness wether it is himself or Bill. Sookie is out still looking for Jason in the woods when suddenly Eric appears before her. He tells her that the king set him free and they run into each other’s arms where they finally come together and make love in the woods next to a stream. It is about bloody time!!!!

S4 EP4 Me And The Devil

Tommy tries to get away from Joe Lee having the chain around his neck. Acting like he passed out Joe Lee walks away but Tommy jumps from behind. Tommy hits Joe Lee with a lead pipe killing him and in the midst of everything accidentally hits his mother in the head killing her instantly. He runs over holding her lifeless body saying “Momma”.

In the woods Marnie tells Tara, Jesus and Lafayette that she was possessed by another spirit and that who is protecting her and everyone from the vampires. The three tell her that that is not the case but in fact they now have two seriously pissed off vampires that are going to want them dead. Marnie attempts to tell them everything will be fine but they disagree and leave, leaving Marnie alone in the woods calling after them.

Over at Terry and Arlene’s they franticly discuss the words written on their wall “The Baby Not Yours”. Wondering who would have written it Arlene fears it is Rene’s ghost come back to haunt them. Terry suggests they have a reverend come over and cleanse the house of any evil spirits and Arlene agrees then looks up to the ceiling attempting to talk to Rene saying, “God is coming for you”. The next day the Rev Daniels and Lettie Mae arrive at their house to drive out the spirits gospel style.

In the Stackhouse residence Eric has a nightmare, or would it be daymare? Anyway Eric has a dream of Godric, who he does not recognize, and he and Godric feed on a sleeping Sookie. Disturbed by this Eric wakes up suddenly and creeps into Sookie's room startling her. When she asks why he is there he states like a little child that he had a bad dream. Sookie tells him about Godric and who is was to Eric and comforts him like a small child. She allows him to stay in her room with her so long as he keeps his paws and fangs to himself. Agreeing to this, he lays there holding an astound Sookie telling her he would never hurt her.

At the other Stackhouse residence, Jessica and Hoyt put a recovering Jason to bed. Jessica being distant from Hoyt tells him she is just tired and there is nothing wrong but Hoyt doesn’t buy it and offers to stay at Jason’s to look after him. Jessica tells him that she loves him trying to reassure him and Hoyt just goes to the other room.

In the land of King Bill, Portia stops by for a visit and argues her case that she is not concerned of the incest between she and Bill and they can continue their relationship, that’s Louisiana for ya…lol Bill however tells her hell no and then glamor’s her to be afraid and scream every time she sees him just to get her off his back. Bye Bye crazy lady! Afterwards Pam drops by in a large veil and prompts a very funny comment from Bill, “Oh good, the world needs more bee keepers”. However when she lifts the veil she reveals the seriousness of the situation with the witches. Wanting revenge Pam pleads Bill into letting her kill the witch but Bill explains there is no way he can grant her that since his hands are tied by the AVL.

Back at Lala’s, he and Jesus pack up to drive down to Mexico to seek help from Jesus’ grandfather who happens to be a powerful Brujo. Jesus explains to a reluctant Lafayette that this is the only way they can protect themselves from Eric and Pam. Tara stays behind calling her girlfriend to tell her she is coming home but is interrupted when the girl asks who Tara Thornton is.Later that night, Jesus and Lafayette arrive in Mexico where they are greeted by Jesus’s grandfather saying that he has been expecting them.

Poor Sam, he is always having some form of trouble following him somehow. This time it is his brother Tommy showing up in front of his trailer in a van with both of his dead parents in which he killed asking for Sam’s help. Sam agrees and he and a frantic Tommy drive to dispose of their bodies. On their way they are pulled over by Andy who is strung out on V. Andy makes Sam unlock the back doors of the van to see what is in there but to his surprise when he opens the door, Tommy shifted into a gator snaps at him.

At Merlotte’s Sookie probes into Holly’s head to find out anything she can about the witches who have erased Eric’s memory. After work Sookie goes to The Moon Goddess Emporium to investigate. She meets Marnie and asks her for a reading, during which Gran warns Sookie not to give her heart to Eric for it will not last and also tells Sookie to run and that Marnie is an evil person. To Marnie’s dismay, Sookie pays and runs saying “Lady when my Gran tells me to run, I run”. Afterwards Katie arrives with guards to secure Marnie and take her back to Bill’s.

Back at Sookie’s Tara explains to her about her life back in New Orleans. Pouring her heart out, she is startled when Eric emerges from his cubby hole and arms herself. Sookie trying to diffuse the situation, attempts to explain to Tara that Eric is not who he used to be. Tara not believing reminds Sookie of all the terrible things he has done to her and her friends and feeling betrayed and runs out of the house.

Marnie being locked in a holding cell at King Bill’s has a vision of the spirit who has possessed her. Bill and Pam converse with Marnie over the intercom asking if she could reverse the spells she has placed upon his subjects. Not believing that Marnie is telling the truth that she does not know how to do so, Bill goes down to the cell to glamor her. Whilst under Bill’s power, she confirms that she has no idea how she even put the spell on them let alone how to undo it. Pam overhearing this on the monitor realizes she is screwed.

And what about our loveable hot fury wolf Alcide? Well his evening gets briefly interrupted by a man who reveals to him that he is Marcus, Shreveport’s pack master. Marcus expresses to Alcide his upset on the fact that Alcide has not registered with the pack after all this time of his being a resident there. Alcide tells Marcus he is a free agent and to get off his property which Marcus is not all that happy about.

Arriving at the swamp Sam and Tommy dispose of the bodies throwing them in. Sam reveals to Tommy of his dark past to attempt to console Tommy that what he did is ok because it was in self-defense. When Tommy realizes the bodies are not sinking, Sam throws a handful of marshmallows near to floating bodies and within seconds they are taken under by gators. Sam turns to Tommy and says “gators love marshmallows, you should know that”.

Eric asks Sookie about all of the things Tara said he did but when Sookie confirms that he did do the things she said he feels terrible. He tells her he could not bear the fact of ever hurting her and that he must leave and exits out of the house. Sookie runs after him and calls to him to please stay with her, he walks back and finally they kiss!!!

Back at the King’s plantation, Bill has summoned his sheriffs to explain the circumstances with the witches. One sheriff Luis tells the other sheriffs what happened to his maker back at the Spanish inquisition when vampires were made to walk out into the sun buy a witch names Antonia. They all state that they need to ill the witch off before that situation occurs again but Bill tells them they cannot kill any humans or the AVL will order for their true deaths. Pissed that they cannot do anything about this Pam goes off and accidentally reveals that she knows what happened to Eric and where he is. Bill vampingly slams her against the door and demands she tell him where Eric’s whereabouts are but when she tells him that he is at Sookie’s, Bill looks hurt. Remember in the last episode Sookie lied to his face that Eric was not there!

Sam Trammell Coming to the TriState Area

Also I was informed tonight by mysister actually that there is to be a convention over in Cheery Hill NJ this coming weekend August 19-21. Although if you are just hearing about this like I am, the only tickets that you will beable to purchase will be the ones at the door and to my knowledge they will be the plain ole basic addmittance ones. But for all of you True Blood Fans out there one of the special guests that is attending this convention will be the loveable newly turned father of twin boys Sam Trammell AKA Sam Merlotte!

Rants About Tonights Episode of True Blood Spellbound

OK I just have to get on here and say my thoughts about tonight's episode!!! There are so many things to discuss about this one I really don't even know where to begin so I apologize in advance if I happen to jump around a bit in my ranting...lol

First thing first, WTF??!! I mean seriously?! Ok, now I had figured that Jason was going to succeed in saving Jessica from meeting the sun, but him actually acting with his little head yet again and kissing Jessica back I feel is going to end up having a certain amount of consequences down the line here in this season as does pretty much everything Jason ends up doing...lol. And Poor Hoyt, I do feel bad for him with the whole getting his heart broken by Jessica but did he really have to act like a spoiled large tree in the flannel shirt type of brat? (sorry I still love that line from Pam...hehe) She never intentionally meant to hurt him and in her own way she still and will always love Hoyt but I feel that Pam was right in the fact that Jessica is a different person now in the fact that she is a vampire and although she was trying to hold on tight to the person she used to be when she was human, her vampire instinct is starting to kick in and her trying to live a monogamous life with Hoyt or anyone for that matter, would actually do more harm then good to the both of them! Also why exactly did he freak out like that? He has been saying to Jason that he knew Jessica was most likely going to break things off and that he felt as though she was slipping away from him so why was he so surprised by the news when she finally did? He just flew off the handle and said some major things that was way uncalled for that he will never be able to take back! If I was Jessica, I would have done exactly what she did in her dream when she slammed his head into the counter..lol

Now the fourth book (I am sure I have mentioned before) is my all time favorite book out of the entire series. Just so you know I have read this particular book so many times that I do not need a bookmark to hold my place unless I have to close it, the binding is so warn out and the cover looks as though the book should be older then it actually is...lol Now we all new from Alan Ball that there was to be a sort of version of the unbelievably infamous shower scene between Sookie and Eric, and he has said that it was not going to be exactly like the book but he did however promise that we as fans shouldn't be disappointed and would be happy with the scene. Ok I can except that BUT I feel incredibly jipped here and boy was he sorely mistaken about that and thanks for nothing with that promise there Mr. Ball!!!!!!!

Hell we had a better shower scene between Bill and Sookie in the episode "Everything Is Broken" from season 3!! There wasn't even the tiniest bit of a shower scene between them!!!!!!!! At first for a split second I started to jump up and down in my seat getting all excited yelling "this is it! this is it! we're finally going to get to see it!!!" But to my dismay they were not even in the shower for a total of 30 seconds before what should have been the best scene of the entire existence of True Blood ended up becoming a disaster by entering a dream like state of Sookie and Eric both high off of each others blood! I felt it was more or less closer to the scene in "Fourth Man In The Fire" from season 1 when Amy and Jason kidnap Eddie and drank some of his blood and the started hallucinating. Watching that scene, I just wanted to walk up to the both of them whack them in the head with a frying pan and say this is your brain on drugs! Exactly what were the writer's and/or Alan Ball on when they came up with this scene that has destroyed my fantasy??!!

I know I am not the only one who feels this was either, already there are a few youtube post with people expressing their complaints about this scene and I have a funny feeling Alan Ball is going to catch some hell for this one!! Perhaps he needs to take a breather and some time off to get his head back in gear!

On a happier note, I was very happy to see that Alan had at least kept the part which showed Eric and Sookie starting their blood bond that is an important fact throughout the rest of the books!

It is a shame what all is happening with Tommy, I do think that Sam should have felt a little compassion and stopped to listen to Tommy on the whole situation with him turning into Sam. I mean how exactly could the poor boy know that was even a possibility? True Tommy really shouldn't have slept with his brother's girlfriend but hey he is a guy...lol However I can not condone that he did intentionally this time pretending to be Maxine, although that part was quite hilarious...lol In my opinion, Sam is in need for some actual anger management classes. And Tommy really needs to find someone to care for him and care enough about him to steer him into the right direction and help him to realize the difference between right and wrong!

Andy - "Jesus Tits and God America Jason!" (why do I feel another t-shirt on the horizon just like when Andy told Jason, Conscious off; Dick on; And Everything is going to be alright...lmao)
Jason - "Uh sorry man I stopped listening about half way through."

On the subject of Tara, she is really pissing me off! I totally get the fact that she is having a hard time on all what Franklin Mott did to her last season but the choices she is making are unbelievable. How on earth could she willingly justify killing anyone, vampire or not?! And it is not all vampires that harmed her, Franklin was a sadistic certifiable nut job (in which was beautifully portrayed by James Frain) that should have been on a tighter leash had it not been that he worked for a King that was even more unstable then he was...lol I actually agreed with Pam with the fact that she said "this is so fucking lame" when Bill stopped her from killing Tara! I so wished he would have let Pam kill her off! I mean she didn't even look the slightest bit ashamed or sorry that she stood directly opposite of her all time best friend Sookie!

Debbie Pelt - I have said before, Alcide you can do way better then her! Last season Debbie had red hair, now this season she has blond hair. Does anyone else feel the same as I do that Debbie most likely dyed her hair blond in an attempt to look like Sookie?! I am sure you all have heard the saying "You can always take the girl out of the trailer park, but you can't take the trailer park out of the girl". Well boy does that saying pertain to her! Not to mention that she is a needy little bitch! Alcide, how can you not see how she is milking this whole sobriety BS already? Not to mention she is extremely self conscious and jealous of Sookie, that she had to have been the one to tell Marcus that the witches and vampires were going to war with each other in her feeble attempt to try to keep Alcide away from Sookie and keep him tamed in her clutches. I think it is safe to say that she is the one obsessed with Sookie way more the Alcide is....

A great moment was when Lafayette walked into the kitchen at Merlotte's after taking what seemed to be a cigarette break and walked in seeing the apparition of what I call "the Cajun lady" and said "Oh Hell..... F*** this shit" and walks right back on out of the kitchen lmao

Ok now we have found out where this creepy doll came from and sort of what the story behind that is as well as the Cajun lady and the fact that they are connected but my questions are, who was the white man who killed this poor lady's, not to mention his own child? Why is this spirit attached to Arlene's baby? Was the man the spirit had a child out of wedlock a Bellefleur?

What exactly was Marnie doing to Eric and why was she petting his head like a dog? I do have to say though Fiona Shaw was correct in the fact that her character Marnie was going to be hated more and more throughout the season...lol these people who are rallying with Marnie/Antonia are dumb as rocks, they are the sheep and she is going to lead these people into the slaughter and they are dumb enough not to even see that. Tonight was only the beginning of what is going to be a complete and utter cluster F*** of a fight...lol

I hated the fact that the preview for next weeks episode was even more of a yank in the chain! Every week I yell "Come on" with how they leave the episode and the fact that I have to wait yet again an entire week to see what happens. Before you say anything, I am fully aware that is the whole point...lol However that does not mean I have to like it...ahahaha But this weeks preview for the following week was just as bad if not worse then the torture that Alan Ball creates for us each week in the fact that after such an episode like this, he not only sticks the knife in our side by holding off till right before the end of the episode to start the Witch Vs Vampire war that is pretty much the main story line besides Eric and Sookie finally getting together, but then he just twists the knife already in our side by only showing a tad bit of what is to happen with Sookie with her being yet again at a near death state and Bill and Alcide trying to figure out how to save her since she is not taking Bill's blood when we all know that there is no way she will die. I just can not take this anymore!!!

S4 EP4 I'm Alive And On Fire

Now that Claudine is no more thanks to Eric, it seems that Eric wants more. Starting to go for Sookie, she yells at him telling him he will kill her. Eric tells her he would never harm her and immediately retracts his fangs. She tells him they need to go back into the house Eric collapses, when he recovers a few seconds later he appears to be drunk from the faerie blood and starts pinching Sookie’s butt then while laughing tells her to “catch him” and takes off into the woods with vampire speed. Knowing that dawn is approaching Sookie then tries to find him.

At Fangtasia, King Bill confronts Pam about where Eric is and he suspects that she knows where her maker might be. She tells him that she has no idea where he is, and makes a crack about Bill’s power going to his head. Back at Bill’s place, he gets berated by AVL’s Nan Flanagan for sending Eric after the witches during this time of trying to win back the public. Bill tries to express how serious of a threat that these particular witches are reminding her of the Spanish Massacre but Nan does not believe that something from 400 years ago would happen again.

The next morning Alcide arrives at Sookie’s to help her track down Eric before the faerie blood wears off and he becomes a crispy critter. He shifts into a wolf to track his sent and they take off into the woods to look for him while Sookie tries to explain what all has been happening. The come upon a swamp where Eric is swimming and calling out the sea monsters. Soon he starts to burn telling Sookie he doesn’t feel so good all of the sudden, Sookie then wraps a blanket around him and tells him to run vamp speed back to the house. After she comforts him a bit she emerges out of the cubby to talk to Alcide who relays his concerns for her having Eric in her house. She returns her concerns about Debbie living with him as well and that he shouldn’t judge, they huge and make up saying that they are still friends.

Over at the Moon Goddess Emporium Marnie has a vision of the Spanish Inquisition where she sees a women being burned alive for witchcraft who is the same woman she channeled who erased Eric’s memories. Unable to save the women from being burned, Marnie starts to mimic her chant and then wakes up startled. Jesus, Lafayette, and Tara arrive telling her that she needs to reverse the curse she placed on Eric before they end up dead by the hands of Pam. They search frantically trying to find a way to reverse the spell and as they are about to give up a book containing the spell they were looking for happens to fall on the floor.

In the Inbreeded hillbilly town of Hot Shot poor Jason is continuously raped by the women there. After they are finished the young girl Becky is told it is her turn to do the same but Jason convinces her that this is not the way to have her first experience with a man and she then agrees to let him go. Later her Uncle- daddy Felton finds out what happened and shifts into a panther and goes to find Jason. Jason climbs up into a tree and carves a spear from a piece of wood. Felton arrives in his panther form under the tree, Jason then jumps from the tree killing him with the spear. Crystal arrives and is happy that Felton is dead, and tries to talk to Jason and make him realize that now they can be together and that she loves him. Jason tells her he doesn’t want anything to do with her and heads for home.

On his way Jason passes out from his injuries in the middle of a road where Jessica and Hoyt find him while driving and Jessica heals Jason by giving him her blood.

Portia invites Bill over to meet her and Andy Bellefleur’s grandmother and their home. As he charms the grandmother they begin to discuss the long line of Bellefleurs in their family. They both stop when she comes to Elizabeth Harris, The grandmother excuses herself and Bill tells Portia that they can no longer see each other. Portia demands that Bill explains what is going on and he reveals to her that Elizabeth Harris was his daughter and that she is his great-great-great- granddaughter.

Back at Sookie’s, she attempts to cheer up Eric. Eric is in a depressed state due to the fact he will never be able to walk in the sun again. While talking to him, she starts to feel for this version of Eric telling him that she always knew that this part of him existed and that she does like this side of him. Eric then tells her that if she kisses him he would promise to be happy, almost doing so Eric stops sensing that someone was at her front door. Sookie tells Eric to stay there and answers the door only to see that it is Bill. Bill explains to Sookie that he needs to search her house to see if Eric is there. Sookie refuses and tells him that there is no need for a search because Eric is not there and she has never lied to him so he has no reason not to trust her. Bill tells her that it is his duty and starts to enter the home moving her aside then stops. Remembering the feeling he has for her and what they once shared he believes her and apologizes for doubting her then leaves.

Tommy goes to find his mother when she contacted him telling him that she left his father and he is thrilled about the news. He tells her that he can read now and all the things he has learned making his mother proud of him. The happy reunion is cut short however when his father Joe Lee comes from behind him wrapping a chain around his neck like a leash. He realizes that his mother lied to him to get him back to continue prize fighting as a dog so they can make money.

Back in Bon Temps, Pam is in the woods joined by Tara, Lafayette, Jesus and Marnie. With her patience growing increasingly thin, Pam threatens Marnie to reverse the spell she casted on Eric. After a few lame attempts, Pam rushes towards her but is quickly stopped. Marnie is suddenly taken over by the spirit and a chant casting a spell on Pam. Pam’s flesh starts to rot and fall off her face and she takes off vamp speed into the darkness.

Former True Blood star Denis O'Hare has teased that a return to the HBO show is definitely still on the cards.

O'Hare portrayed the vampire king of Mississippi Russell Edgington during the show's third season, and has reminded fans that Russell is still alive, despite having been buried in cement during the season finale.

"I think Alan Ball was asked recently about Russell's return and he said, 'Russell's not dead'," O'Hare teased during the recent TCA press tour, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "And I can't do better than that so I'll just reiterate what he said."

"It's a great character and I feel he hasn't been able to completely express his dreams yet, " O'Hare explained. "I think more than any of the other vampires that season he had ambition and huge dreams.

"I"m still attracted to that, and I think he need to fulfill whatever it is he's aiming for and go out in a blaze of glory in whatever it is he needs to do."

The actor recently claimed that he expects to return as Russell at the start of the fifth season next year.

But this works out just fine for Deborah Ann Woll, the actress who plays her, who gets to live out all her unfulfilled adolescent angst. Vulture phoned Woll for more details on her character's season-four exploits, then got to the bottom of other pressing matters, such as her favorite flavor of blood and her policy on biting folks for a photo op.

Part of being a vampire is being loyal to your maker. How would you defend your character's maker, Bill Compton, who's become a jerky politician?
He's under incredible pressure. And he has some incredibly powerful people making decisions for him. I think Bill is as disappointed with that as we are. Bill is really alone now. He doesn't have a family except Jess, and I think it's really wonderful that this season they get to [bond] quite a bit. Because things aren't going so great with [her human boyfriend] Hoyt, [Bill] is all that she has.

So … Jason Stackhouse and Jessica? Didn't see that one coming.
I'm actually really excited about that story line. The thing is, Hoyt is such a great guy, but the really sad part of it is that his mom was right: She told Jess all those years ago that Jess can't give him what he wants. While Hoyt is more open-minded than his mother, Hoyt really wants conventional things. He wants a wife and a normal life. And that's not something Jess is capable of, nor does she want it.

When she was human, she would've been the perfect mate for him.
You're absolutely right. The only future she had to look forward to when she was a human was being a housewife. But she's excited that she finally escaped that. It's really saddening for her to find out a year later that she's right back where she started. And she did this because she loves him. She had a little two-week rebellion, then immediately was with Hoyt.

Were you rebellious as a teenager growing up in Brooklyn?
No, I was not. This character is fun because it's a very safe place to act out. I was a very shy, very quiet little girl. I was bullied a lot and really didn't feel attractive. Being so pale and so blonde, I just disappeared, so I started dying my hair red when I was about 14. And I rebelled against my peers. I never once experimented with a drug. I was a theater geek. I had piano lessons, theater rehearsals, dance.

Stefan Meets The Dark Side

The Vampire Diaries' executive producers Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson have promised that "the Stefan-Klaus roadshow" will be a big part of season three.

In the second season finale, Stefan (Paul Wesley) agreed to leave Mystic Falls with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) so that Damon's life could be saved.

Morgan has now explained that fans will begin to find out Klaus's motives.

"What we're going to get to see is how dark Stefan can go," he told TV Line. "The interesting thing is that Klaus has given Stefan permission to release that darker side of himself. We're going to see... what Klaus's ultimate goal is with Stefan and for Stefan."

Plec promised that the storyline will be explored "hopefully for a good amount of time" and teased that the emergence of Stefan's dark side will have a big effect on the other characters.

"He'll probably make his way back to Mystic Falls," she said. "Suddenly, it'll be an interesting dynamic for Damon, who was the mysterious, evil dude who showed up in season one, leaving Stefan to clean up his messes. Now, it's going to be a little bit of the reverse."

She added: "You're going to see a very, very, very definitively different version of [Stefan and Elena's] relationship. Not just [in] one episode, but over a good part of the season."

Meanwhile, Williamson claimed that Wesley is "really good" at portraying a different side of Stefan.

"He also has a swagger and a fun to the role that doesn't exist as Stefan because he's so the good boy," he said. "He's so intense. He's so broody. No-one really gets to see the playful side of Paul Wesley... As dark and as devilish and as nasty as [the new Stefan] is, it makes him more fun."

Plec has previously revealed that Stefan will go down "a very dark road" in the new season, while Morgan has confirmed that Klaus has a "plan".

The Vampire Diaries returns with its third season on September 15 on The CW.

“I find it weird when people are offended when I won’t take pictures with them in a bathroom,” she says.

Six episodes into Season 4 of True Blood, things are definitely heating up in the small, sexy town of Bon Temps, where vampires, werewolves, witches and all things supernatural are becoming more commonplace than the humans. Although everyone with the show is always very tight-lipped, when it comes to plot reveals, during the HBO portion of the TCA Press Tour, co-stars and real-life husband and wife, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, talked about Sookie’s stubborn streak, how they enjoys the tension in the relationship between Bill and Sookie because it makes for interesting television, the ability to pitch possible storylines, how the cast is always trying to get tidbits about the story and their characters out of the writers, and how incredibly talented the entire cast is. Check out what they had to say after the jump.

Question: Anna, why do you think Sookie has such a stubborn nature, when it comes to friends and family trying to warn her?

ANNA PAQUIN: Well, I think stubborn people get themselves in a lot of trouble, but they also get things done. I think she’s a pretty good person to have in your corner. She’s willing to put herself out there. Plus, if Sookie wasn’t so stubborn, our show would be a hell of a lot less exciting because there would be a lot less danger for her to be rescued from. But, what’s interesting about her, at the beginning of this season, is that she has made the decision to be on her own and to tell both the gentlemen callers to get lost. In a way, that almost makes her more open to interesting things happening because she’s operating from the position of not being as needy.

Stephen, when did you find out that Bill was going to be the new king of Louisiana, and what did you think of that?

STEPHEN MOYER: The way that Alan has the show set up is that, whoever has written an episode is the producer of that episode, and they sit on set the entire time. But, we’ve got six writers, so that means they’re going to be on for two episodes. And, every single one of us hits those writers up for information, without any of the others knowing that we’re doing it, and then we all pool that information and try to find out what’s going on. I shouldn’t have said that out loud. That’s exactly what we do.

PAQUIN: Alan knows we do that.

MOYER: So, I did find out that that was the idea that was being pitched. towards the end of Season 3. I feel really lucky because I’ve gotten to play a really interesting arc, just as an actor, from the first season. In the first season, he was this enigmatic voyeur, watching everything. In Season 2, he was worried that he was going to lose Sookie, and he held on really tight. Then, he realized that he can’t hold on. He has to push her away, in order to save her, and he’s quite nasty in the way he does it. Then this season, what I’ve gotten to play is that I’ve got to let her go. If you love somebody, you have to set them free. So, whilst doing all of that, I get to be the king. He’s having to make very powerful choices whilst letting go of the thing that he loves. It’s been a really interesting dynamic for me to play. Bill gets to perhaps become somebody that Sookie can respect again because of the choices that he makes as king.

Anna, do you think it’s fair that Sookie has so many horrible things to deal with?

PAQUIN: I’m having the best time of my life. Are you kidding me? And, I’m not just a little thing, thank you very much. I can hold my own. I dare Alan Ball to come up with something I’ll say no to.

Do you get invested and start rooting for Sookie to end up with one character over the other, or do you just go with it?

PAQUIN: I feel like it would be weird to decide what I want to happen to her ‘cause it probably won’t ever match up with what I envisage, and then I’d be disappointed. We’re just all going with the flow.

What’s more important for a guy to have, good oral hygiene like a vampire, or good grooming like a werewolf?

PAQUIN: Do you think the werewolves have good grooming? Did you see the boys at Lou Pines? Blech! More importantly, if you’d been there, you could have smelled the boys at Lou Pines. Alcide is a unique and rare werewolf, in that he seems to play close attention to his grooming. The others were more like cool biker dudes that don’t know about deodorant.

What’s it been like to go from Sookie and Bill having this undying love for each other, but now they have this tense relationship?

PAQUIN: Just speaking for me, our love in real life is fine, so I’m totally happy for our characters to be as sad, distraught, messed up and hating each other as they like. We don’t really have everything be perfect for too long, or happy for too long. It’s not interesting television, if everything works out for Bill and Sookie, and then they adopt five babies and live happily ever after.

MOYER: I actually pitched to Alan that I was getting a bit bored with our life and asked if he add somebody else to the mix.

PAQUIN: Thanks, babe. But, no, we want the show to be as dynamic and interesting as possible.

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF. - Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are just your average, everyday married couple.

“We do ritualistic animal sacrifice, we host orgies on our trampoline every other Sunday - you guys didn’t get our Twitter feed on that?” said Paquin, standing beside her husband Moyer, in a small media scrum following the True Blood session at the Television Critics Association tour.

“And then every once in a while we run through the city and drain people and drink their blood,” Paquin added. “It’s really very romantic.”

Paquin plays Sookie Stackhouse and Moyer plays vampire Bill Compton in True Blood, which currently is airing its fourth season Sunday nights on HBO Canada.

Paquin, 29, and Moyer, 41, weren’t a married couple when True Blood began, but they are now, having tied the knot last year. Ironically, as Paquin and Moyer got closer off-camera, their characters had a big falling-out on-camera.

“I actually pitched to Alan (Ball, True Blood creator) that I was getting a bit bored with our life, and could he add somebody else to the mix,” Moyer said.

“Thanks, babe,” Paquin responded, rolling her eyes.

An aside from a journalist’s perspective: Generally, I don’t like interviewing two people at the same time. Often they talk to each other, or at the very least they instinctively edit each other, rather than having a genuine conversation with the interviewer.

But I have to say, Paquin and Moyer were charming as a duo, especially in the small scrum after the formal panel. They were more animated together, playful even, than on previous occasions when I’ve seen each of them speaking with the media on their own.

For example, at one point Paquin and Moyer were asked what they do during their down time on the set.

“A quick 10 minutes in the trailer?” Moyer, asked, rhetorically and hopefully.

Again, Paquin rolled her eyes.

Certainly with Sookie and Bill on the “outs”, and Sookie now protecting and finding herself attracted to Bill’s enemy Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), Paquin and Moyer don’t have as many scenes together this season as they’ve had in the past.

“Truthfully, we got to know each other on set, and all the crew and everybody knows us together,” Moyer said. “So they kind of tell us they miss it - I mean, they’re probably lying, but they tell us they miss seeing us together.”

When Paquin and Moyer are with each other at home, their favourite TV show - besides True Blood, I assume - is Breaking Bad.

“Absolutely, utterly obsessed,” Moyer said of Breaking Bad, which airs Sundays on AMC.

Paquin and Moyer also took time to give credit to two of the other actors on True Blood who they feel don’t get as much attention as they should.

“There’s always a lot of talk about the weres (werewolves) and the vampires, but Ryan Kwanten (who plays Jason Stackhouse) and Sam Trammell (who plays Sam Merlotte) are unbelievable and consistently amazing,” Moyer said. “I love watching both those guys.”

“And they get so little credit for how incredible they are,” Paquin added. “So a big shout-out for them.”

Despite genuine admiration for the rest of the True Blood cast, Paquin and Moyer mostly have radar for each other. So how long did it take before they realized they could be more than co-stars?

“I waited for her to tell me that she really fancied me before I admitted anything,” Moyer said.

Yet another eye-roll from Paquin. But without a doubt, there was love in those peepers.

Alan Ball On Board For Season 5

Alan Ball has announced that he will return for a fifth season of True Blood.

The series creator denied recent reports that he could leave the supernatural show, telling reporters at the 2011 TCA Summer Press Tour that he does not have "any desire to leave" the series behind.

"There will be an end for me at some point but I just closed a deal to do another season," Ball said. "I don't have any desire to leave because I'm having more fun than I ever had in my life."

Ball spoke last month about how he had yet to sign on for another year of True Blood, explaining at the time that he was still in the process of negotiating a contract.

The Six Feet Under creator previously confessed that he is unsure of whether he will return for a sixth season of True Blood, saying that he finds production to be "really tough".

The CW has released a new promo for the third season of The Vampire Diaries.

The trailer, which first aired at San Diego Comic-Con last weekend, mostly features footage from the previous two seasons of the supernatural show. However, at the very end of the three-and-a-half minute promo, fans can get a look at a short clip from the forthcoming season.

In the scene in question, Elena (Nina Dobrev) walks into the Salvatore mansion while tying her hair into a ponytail. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) comes up behind her.

Damon, who is covered in bubbles and presumably naked, tells her: "You know, you should learn to knock. What if I was indecent?"

Another teaser for season three of The Vampire Diaries first premiered at the Warner Bros booth at Comic-Con a week ago.

Dobrev recently teased an upcoming storyline in which she and Alaric (Matt Davis) go on an adventure together.

Ball: I don't worry about Team Bill or Team Eric. I love [the fourth book] because I thought it was a great story, but I'm Team Sookie.

Ball: He's had her blood and he's already a very sexual person, but he's going to be attracted to her.

What is the season building up to?
Ball: The fate of vampires as a whole.

What's the big, bad villain for next season?
Ball: We are just in the beginning of Season 5, so it's too early to say, but we're basing it on the books.

Do you feel pressure to top each villain?
Ball: I don't think that way because that's only a recipe for trouble. I love my job, I enjoy doing it. I'm not going to put pressure on myself to top. I just want to tell the best story and the most fun story.

Why did the show really jump one year in the future this year?
Ball: The root of that was how we get Jason to be a cop.

There’s so much to look forward to on this season of The Vampire Diaries. Elena’s 18th birthday, bad Stefan, and soapy Damon. But when prompted for his outlook for the season, Joseph Morgan says he’s most excited to meet Klaus’ family. “We get a chance to go back and see the point where they became vampires and where the curse was placed on Klaus to suppress his hybrid nature, his hybrid side,” he told a roundtable. “It’ll be interesting when we introduce other originals who are possibly equally as powerful or have some sort of emotional hold over Klaus … to see what that brings out of him.”

Meanwhile, while speaking to EW after the big convention, Nina Dobrev said a trek with Alaric will be taking a lot out of Elena in the second episode. “Elena and Alaric go on a sweaty, rugged adventure together, and I have to cool off at one point. We get to bond a little bit, and filming scenes with Matt Davis is great, because he’s a really funny light-hearted guy and there’s a lot of comic relief,” she says. And while she wouldn’t elaborate on how Elena “cools off,” she did share a story about how the cast beats the Georgia heat: “We try to set up tents with air conditioning, but it ends up being hotter inside the tent than it is outside, so what we do is we take ice packs and we put them on our wrist, or on our neck, or down our pants just to keep cool.”

If The Vampire Diaries' creator Kevin Williamson didn't give you enough season three dish, then you'll be happy to learn that executive producer Julie Plec also had lots of details to dole out at Comic-Con. She spilled about how Stefan will change and what's in store for Caroline and Tyler's werewolf/vampire romance.

How bad is Stefan going to get?
Julie Plec: Bad. Yeah. Yeah, he’s got it in him, man; he’s pretty hardcore when he falls off the edge, and it's not just going to be "one and done" with him. We wanted our hero to go down a really dark road and we’re going to take him down that dark road for a while. But you know, there’ll be levels of bad [that] I think Paul Wesley is really excited to explore. But no, we’re not going to back off of that.

Do you worry at all about crossing the line of irredeemable for him?
JP: You know, I will tell you this. I sort of decided there was no line when Damon killed Jeremy, and everyone was like “Oh, 'cause he was just really upset and sad." There’s a strange overwhelming majority that was totally fine with it, so it's surprising to us, and good for the character. So we’ll see if the same is true for Stefan or not. You know, what we don’t want to do is homogenize a hero or a villain by not taking them to the edge. You’re rolling the dice that your audience will be able to come back from it. So it’ll be risky — it's very risky — and we’ll see how we can get him out [to] the other side, but we’ll sure as hell be rooting for him to get out the other side. So that hopefully will go well.

Does this mean that Damon has to step it up as the good Salvatore brother?
JP: Yes, much to his chagrin. By no means are they swapping personalities, but yes, Damon, unfortunately, I think his big beef with Stefan is like, “Hey man, he went and fell off the edge and now I got to, like, be here cleaning up your mess.” It’s a nice role reversal for the two bothers; usually it’s the other way around. But Damon isn’t going to be happy about it, and he’s certainly not going to go gently into it; he’s not going to take that role on with much pleasure or comfort.

What’s going on with Jeremy, and how soon will we find out what his deal is?
JP: It’s a story that’s going to kinda slowly unfold. It’s going to have both kind of a great supernatural genre element to it, but also a really strong emotional element to it, which I think is one of the reasons we wanted to do it. Because you’ve got this kid that, in the second to last episode, Elena says [to] “I’m so sorry you’ve lost so many people.” And he has, and he’s just a kid [when it's] all said and done, and his two first loves of his life are now, you know, poppin’ around. So not only will it be cool and creepy, but also hopefully a little warm and yummy too.

How much will Anna and Vicki be on this season?
JP: We haven’t laid that out with them or anything, but we definitely want to re-explore some of those relationships that Jeremy had and make it a little bit difficult for Bonnie and Jeremy as a couple. And then of course when you’ve got strange people paying strange visits, then bad things are bound to happen. So I think you’ll see it more than once at least, I can say.

How much of the Elena/Stefan/Damon/Katherine love square do we get this year compared to last?
JP: We have a whole journey to explore, and thank God, because that means we can actually be on the air for a lot of years, as far as Elena and her feelings and her relationships with our Salvatore boys. Katherine last year was our mini-bad — she started as the bad and became the mini-bad — and so she got a lot of showcasing last year. We definitely haven’t seen the last of her; it's just a matter of when we’re going to see her again. That’s the fun surprise.

Is Alaric moving in with Elena and Jeremy, since Jenna is gone?
JP: Alaric is going to be struggling with this role that he’s sort of accidentally stepped into at the end of last season, where he sort of decided to spend the night. When we come back for our premiere we’ll see he’s been basically living on the couch for a while, and struggling with suddenly feeling like he doesn’t have enough to offer as a guardian, as a mentor, because he himself is going through a hard time in his life. So will he/won’t he be living there, and what will his relationship with those two be, is part of the story for the first couple episodes.

How about Caroline and Tyler and Matt?
JP: Well, for Matt it’s not going so well. Poor Matt has hit some hard times in life, and I loved what he said to her [Caroline] at the end of the season, which is, “You know, my life was hard enough without all this stuff, so I think I’m just going to try to live it and keep myself away from the supernatural." But one of the last things we saw at the end of the season, of course, was his sister Vicki making an appearance to Jeremy. So that’s not going to stay just Jeremy’s storyline for very long. I think that Matt having lost his sister, it’s a big deal, so we might get to see that play out a little bit for him. And then, of course, Caroline and Tyler, they have such wonderful chemistry, those two, and the characters have been through so much together. Tyler has been exposed to his core, and she’s been right there, you know, holding his hair back proverbially, and so we’ll see if that friendship lasts and how long it stays just friends. Because it’s kind of inevitable that there’s gonna be some naked action happening there eventually.

Are you going to continue exploring the relationship of Caroline and her mother?
JP: Yes absolutely, absolutely. We love ourselves some Sheriff, and we love the idea of this woman who is charged with protecting the town. And as Marguerite MacIntyre will say, completely ineptly and embarrassingly wrong and badly. But, [she] also now has to deal with the fact that the very thing that she was raised to hate is in her daughter. She found a nice level of acceptance for Caroline at the end of the season, and so we’ll get to see the fun mother-daughter dynamic now that Caroline is out in the open and the two of them are living under the same roof. And you know, how do you set those rules? What’s curfew for your vampire daughter?

Comic-Con is hitting San Diego this week, and the festivities are dripping in ‘True Blood.’ Over the next few days, we’ll be bringing you an all-new trailer, cast Q&As, and much more. But to kick things off in the proper frame, we talked to Michael McMillian (who in addition to playing The Rev. Steve Newlin on the show, writes the official ‘True Blood’ comic book) and our own InsideTrueBlood blogger Gianna Sobol (who works as story editor on the books) about ‘Tainted Love’ – the issue of the comic that is about to be released as an extras-packed Legacy Edition at Comic-Con.

Gianna, you’ve been wearing a lot of hats lately – can you describe what you do as story editor for the comics?

Gianna Sobol: I get outlines and then scripts, and I give notes, trying to help to keep in line with the show.

Michael McMillian: She tells us what sucks.

GS: I tell him what’s terrible about all of his work, and then I rewrite the whole thing. And then we just put his name on it. No – I think I’m kind of the ‘True Blood’ consultant, to keep the characters and world on track.

Was there anything you’ve had to cut out because it ran up against the show?

MM: Without spoiling anything from Season 4, there were actually a couple things that Marc [Andreyko] and I had put in there that Gianna told us might actually be happening in the show. So there were a few ideas we had to rewrite so we wouldn’t step on the tail of the show.

GS: Then there would just be little things, like one scene where Jessica’s mom was yelling at her, and I stepped in to say, “You know, Jessica’s dad is really the yeller, and her mom’s kind of the silent type …” Little changes like that. I think the show is so big – and there’s so much lore and detail – what makes the comic book so cool is that it builds that world even more.

According to The Oxford School of Drama, Andrew Gower has been cast as a lead character. He will playing a vampire called Cutler, so I would assume that he is either Mitchell's 'replacement' or, more likely, will be of the Old Ones who we first saw towards the end of last series

Alexander Skarsguard Recieves Honorary Doctorate!!!

The True Blood star was one of nine individuals to receive an honorary doctorate in the arts from Leeds Metropolitan University, E! Online reports.

Skarsgård attended the university in question with a friend for six months after finishing his national service in the Swedish military.

"We wanted to see the real England, so we just looked at a map," Skarsgård told The Daily Telegraph in 2010. "We both liked Leeds United, so we thought, 'Let's go [to Leeds Metropolitan University]'. We didn't study much, we just had a blast. People were super-friendly and I had a great time. I still support Leeds United."

Last week, the 34-year-old joined the cast of the Viking movie The Vanguard, which centres on two Swedish brothers who are exiled to America.

The actor recently confessed that he is enjoying the vulnerability of his True Blood character Eric Northman in the current season of the HBO series.

True Blood continues on Sundays at 9pm on HBO.

I can’t get Hoyt’s words outta my mind. Calling my blood shit.

When I think about my blood, I think about its healing nature. Its way of connecting me to the man that I love. At least that’s how it used to be. But lately, it’s like the little rope tied to him at one end, and me at the other? It’s fraying or unraveling. All the fibers are coming apart and now we’re just a mess of string that used to be something strong.

When I think about things that are shit, I think of my daddy’s beatings. I think of what I did to Hoyt, with that guy at Fantgasia. I think of whoever or whatever beat Jason near to his death.

But my blood? My blood ain’t shit. Hoyt Fortenberry, you could not have been more wrong. My blood just saved someone’s life. Maybe it’s my fault that the rope is coming apart, but it ain’t my blood’s fault.

There are things that are shit, and then there are things that are not shit.

Jeremy: I See Dead People! TV Guide dish on the season 3 of Vampire Diaries

When Vicki and Anna, both heretofore known as "dead," appeared to Jeremy in the season finale of The Vampire Diaries, it raised a lot of questions. Can only Jeremy see them? Is it significant that the late former girlfriends were both also vampires? Will he see more dead people? Why have they returned? "They have their own master plan," executive producer Julie Plec tells TVGuide.com. "The minute you get any supernatural entity dropping into Mystic Falls, somebody is going to be at risk." Plec, co-executive producer Kevin Williamson, and their team of writers have just returned to the writers' room in Atlanta, where they're plugging away on scripts for Season 3, which Plec says will explore the history of the original vampire family. She hints at a flashback to the year 1000, deconstructs the "Delena" kiss and reveals the unique way they'll set the stage for the show's return in September.

When and why did you decide to bring back Anna (Malese Jow) and Vicki (Kayla Ewell)?
Julie Plec: Early on in the season, we started talking about how much fun it would be to bring favorite characters back. When we started thinking about where we were taking Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) over the course of this season and where we were going to end him, we thought of the idea of him seeing people from his past as a result of being brought back to life. The decision to bring Vicki back was instantaneous because Kayla was so well loved and it was devastating to say goodbye. Anna was such a fan favorite, and so we had the opportunity to take a character that the audience was outraged that we had the audacity to kill and give her another story. And it's just the beginning.

When will we learn what Jeremy seeing dead people means?
Plec: We'll get a good sense in the first episode or two how they're manifesting themselves and where they're coming from. As we get deeper into the season, we'll start to understand that they have a compass and they have their own master plan. You'll have to wait and see whether or not that's a diabolical master plan, [but] I think the minute you get any supernatural entity dropping into Mystic Falls, somebody is going to be at risk. The question is: Who do you like more — the supernatural person or the human?
