Tommy tries to get away from Joe Lee having the chain around his neck. Acting like he passed out Joe Lee walks away but Tommy jumps from behind. Tommy hits Joe Lee with a lead pipe killing him and in the midst of everything accidentally hits his mother in the head killing her instantly. He runs over holding her lifeless body saying “Momma”.
In the woods Marnie tells Tara, Jesus and Lafayette that she was possessed by another spirit and that who is protecting her and everyone from the vampires. The three tell her that that is not the case but in fact they now have two seriously pissed off vampires that are going to want them dead. Marnie attempts to tell them everything will be fine but they disagree and leave, leaving Marnie alone in the woods calling after them.
Over at Terry and Arlene’s they franticly discuss the words written on their wall “The Baby Not Yours”. Wondering who would have written it Arlene fears it is Rene’s ghost come back to haunt them. Terry suggests they have a reverend come over and cleanse the house of any evil spirits and Arlene agrees then looks up to the ceiling attempting to talk to Rene saying, “God is coming for you”. The next day the Rev Daniels and Lettie Mae arrive at their house to drive out the spirits gospel style.
In the Stackhouse residence Eric has a nightmare, or would it be daymare? Anyway Eric has a dream of Godric, who he does not recognize, and he and Godric feed on a sleeping Sookie. Disturbed by this Eric wakes up suddenly and creeps into Sookie's room startling her. When she asks why he is there he states like a little child that he had a bad dream. Sookie tells him about Godric and who is was to Eric and comforts him like a small child. She allows him to stay in her room with her so long as he keeps his paws and fangs to himself. Agreeing to this, he lays there holding an astound Sookie telling her he would never hurt her.
At the other Stackhouse residence, Jessica and Hoyt put a recovering Jason to bed. Jessica being distant from Hoyt tells him she is just tired and there is nothing wrong but Hoyt doesn’t buy it and offers to stay at Jason’s to look after him. Jessica tells him that she loves him trying to reassure him and Hoyt just goes to the other room.
In the land of King Bill, Portia stops by for a visit and argues her case that she is not concerned of the incest between she and Bill and they can continue their relationship, that’s Louisiana for ya…lol Bill however tells her hell no and then glamor’s her to be afraid and scream every time she sees him just to get her off his back. Bye Bye crazy lady! Afterwards Pam drops by in a large veil and prompts a very funny comment from Bill, “Oh good, the world needs more bee keepers”. However when she lifts the veil she reveals the seriousness of the situation with the witches. Wanting revenge Pam pleads Bill into letting her kill the witch but Bill explains there is no way he can grant her that since his hands are tied by the AVL.
Back at Lala’s, he and Jesus pack up to drive down to Mexico to seek help from Jesus’ grandfather who happens to be a powerful Brujo. Jesus explains to a reluctant Lafayette that this is the only way they can protect themselves from Eric and Pam. Tara stays behind calling her girlfriend to tell her she is coming home but is interrupted when the girl asks who Tara Thornton is.Later that night, Jesus and Lafayette arrive in Mexico where they are greeted by Jesus’s grandfather saying that he has been expecting them.
Poor Sam, he is always having some form of trouble following him somehow. This time it is his brother Tommy showing up in front of his trailer in a van with both of his dead parents in which he killed asking for Sam’s help. Sam agrees and he and a frantic Tommy drive to dispose of their bodies. On their way they are pulled over by Andy who is strung out on V. Andy makes Sam unlock the back doors of the van to see what is in there but to his surprise when he opens the door, Tommy shifted into a gator snaps at him.
At Merlotte’s Sookie probes into Holly’s head to find out anything she can about the witches who have erased Eric’s memory. After work Sookie goes to The Moon Goddess Emporium to investigate. She meets Marnie and asks her for a reading, during which Gran warns Sookie not to give her heart to Eric for it will not last and also tells Sookie to run and that Marnie is an evil person. To Marnie’s dismay, Sookie pays and runs saying “Lady when my Gran tells me to run, I run”. Afterwards Katie arrives with guards to secure Marnie and take her back to Bill’s.
Back at Sookie’s Tara explains to her about her life back in New Orleans. Pouring her heart out, she is startled when Eric emerges from his cubby hole and arms herself. Sookie trying to diffuse the situation, attempts to explain to Tara that Eric is not who he used to be. Tara not believing reminds Sookie of all the terrible things he has done to her and her friends and feeling betrayed and runs out of the house.
Marnie being locked in a holding cell at King Bill’s has a vision of the spirit who has possessed her. Bill and Pam converse with Marnie over the intercom asking if she could reverse the spells she has placed upon his subjects. Not believing that Marnie is telling the truth that she does not know how to do so, Bill goes down to the cell to glamor her. Whilst under Bill’s power, she confirms that she has no idea how she even put the spell on them let alone how to undo it. Pam overhearing this on the monitor realizes she is screwed.
And what about our loveable hot fury wolf Alcide? Well his evening gets briefly interrupted by a man who reveals to him that he is Marcus, Shreveport’s pack master. Marcus expresses to Alcide his upset on the fact that Alcide has not registered with the pack after all this time of his being a resident there. Alcide tells Marcus he is a free agent and to get off his property which Marcus is not all that happy about.
Arriving at the swamp Sam and Tommy dispose of the bodies throwing them in. Sam reveals to Tommy of his dark past to attempt to console Tommy that what he did is ok because it was in self-defense. When Tommy realizes the bodies are not sinking, Sam throws a handful of marshmallows near to floating bodies and within seconds they are taken under by gators. Sam turns to Tommy and says “gators love marshmallows, you should know that”.
Eric asks Sookie about all of the things Tara said he did but when Sookie confirms that he did do the things she said he feels terrible. He tells her he could not bear the fact of ever hurting her and that he must leave and exits out of the house. Sookie runs after him and calls to him to please stay with her, he walks back and finally they kiss!!!
Back at the King’s plantation, Bill has summoned his sheriffs to explain the circumstances with the witches. One sheriff Luis tells the other sheriffs what happened to his maker back at the Spanish inquisition when vampires were made to walk out into the sun buy a witch names Antonia. They all state that they need to ill the witch off before that situation occurs again but Bill tells them they cannot kill any humans or the AVL will order for their true deaths. Pissed that they cannot do anything about this Pam goes off and accidentally reveals that she knows what happened to Eric and where he is. Bill vampingly slams her against the door and demands she tell him where Eric’s whereabouts are but when she tells him that he is at Sookie’s, Bill looks hurt. Remember in the last episode Sookie lied to his face that Eric was not there!
