Associated Content Article of TB Season 2

True Blood , HBO's breakout series on vampires, has garnered a whole legion of blood sucking fans. A Season 2 was green lit very quickly after the network saw how ratings were progressing. Season 2 of True Blood is currently being filmed, and tid bits of information on what to expect from Bill, Sookie, and Eric are making their way out!

Season one of True Blood left us with the mystery: who's manicured toes were hanging out of Andy Bellfleur's car? While at first sight it looks like it could be a woman's foot, many fans agree that it most likely is our sassy Lafayette. In the season one finale of True Blood we see Lafayette encounter something behind Merlotte's Bar that has him horrified. Putting two and two together, we can kiss Lafayette good bye! Loosing Nelsen Ellis from the True Blood cast is a huge loss, he is an amazing actor and really does justice for Lafayette's character. (Lafayette wouldn't make a very good vampire, unfortunately!)

But, no fear, with loss comes new cast members. Last month HBO announced that Todd Lowe, Deborah Ann Woll , Michelle Forbes and Mehcad Brooks would be joining the cast of True Blood as series regulars. While most of the casting is straight forward, we do have one character who is considered the mysterious casting. Maryann is the social worker who takes in Tara at the end of season one, and has an odd little conversation with Sam Merlotte.

What could she be doing in Bon Temps, and what does it mean for our True Blood world? It is widely accepted that Maryann is most likely the Maenad, a other worldly being who feeds of drunkenness and mayhem. This can't bode well for anyone who lives in her general vicinity!

Eggs Benedict , played by Mechad Brooks, is another new series regular of True Blood. Currently in the True Blood story line he is living in the same house as Maryanne, with Tara . The story line between Sam Merlotte and Tara was totally played out and has run dry, this is Tara's chance at love!

New Creature in Bon Temps.....

A new villain is coming to True Blood’s blood-loving, fictional Louisiana town of Bon Temps, and the vampires are not happy campers.

“There's a new supernatural creature in town, one I've never seen on TV,” says a source on the set of the HBO series. “Even vampires are scared of this thing. We'll be seeing a lot more of Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) this year. Romance is in the air for most of our main characters, but as always with our show, nothing is ever what it seems.”

Drama also ensues when Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) take a business trip out of Bon Temps and find themselves in the middle of some sticky vampire politics, according to our source.

Want more scoop? OK, the dead person in the car is...

Just kidding. The source can’t tell us that! But we were told that episode five is being shot now, and 12 episodes are planned to start airing in either late June or early July. Also, there are a few new exciting actors on the show, including Valerie Cruz (Dexter), Anna Camp (Cashmere Mafia) and Ashley Jones (The Bold and the Beautiful). They join the previously confirmed Michelle Forbes, Mehcad Brooks and Deborah Ann Woll.

A few more surprises are set for down the line, but they're surprises—'nuff said.

Season 2 Airing Date

HBO Left us with this:

Allegedly, Charlaine Harris, author of the book the series is based upon, has mentioned the date on her website in a post dated March 9. She was informed by the assistant of the show's creator Alan Ball. Yet, the date remains unofficial until HBO releases a statement. "In terms of a premiere date - we actually don't have a date set in stone, but it is looking like mid-June," the network responded.

The production itself has been taking place since January this year. Alan Ball dished out on the second season, "There are new romances for Tara, Jason and Sara. Bill and Sookie have a lot of issues to sort out - including having made a new teenage vampire that's living in their house. Bill and Sookie also go to Dallas to find one of their own who has gone missing."(Loving True Blood In Dallas)

Hopefully Charline Harris is right or better yet it airs earlier!! I know i am not the only one going through TB withdrawl...lol Already 1/2 way through book number 6...lmao

Top 5 Vamp TV Shows

I know there have been more then 5 Vamp TV Shows, but these are the 5 I enjoyed the most out of all of them.

#5 Angel

(1st season was good then I thought it became to boring after that)

#4 Buffy The Vampire Slayer

(Longest Series That just kept you on your toes, Teeny bopper possibly, But I was a teen when I was into it...lol)

#3 Kindred: The Embraced

(Loved this series!! Was so upset when the main character Mark Frankel AKA Julian Luna died in real life in a motorcycle accident so they decided not to go on with the 2nd season)

#2 Moonlight

( This one really pissed me off that CBS cancelled this series!!! I thought it was fantastic!! I loved the Mick St. John character and how they left it on the last episode of the 1st season had me on the edge of my seat waiting and anticipating more in the 2nd season.CBS is retarded on how they kept some shows running that suck tremendously and then cancel a truly great Show like Moonlight)

#1 True Blood

(Obviously I am addicted to this show as are many of others..lmao)

My Top 15 Vamp Movies....

Ok in response to OK!'s Countdown of Hotest Vamp Couples I have decided to make my own list of what I think are the best vampire movies.

#15 Interview With a Vampire

Likes/Dislikes: I loved Anne Rice's Vampire Novel's. Even though I feel as though the books were way better then either movie that they made, this was a pretty decent version of it. I liked pretty much everything in the movie except the fact that it is very hard for me to watch Tom Cruise as the vampire Lestat...lol Even though he was ok in the part I feel they really could have done better int he movie if there was someone else portraying the role.

#14 Bram Stoker's Dracula

Likes/Dislikes: Loved Gary Oldman as Dracula, I thought he was a very seductive vamp. Also loved Anthony Hopkins as Van Helsing. Although I pretty much like his portrayal of everything I have seen him in, I liked his bit of a comedic in a sense role that he brought to the movie. I hated Keanu Reeves as Johnathon Harker, I was awaiting throughout the entire movie to either say "Dude" or "that's totally bogus"...lmao Also did not like Winnona Ryder's as Mina. Frankly she just gets on my nerves.

#13 From Dusk Till Dawn

Likes/Dislikes: Thought this was a great movie. Loved Quentin Tarantino and George Clooney. Fav scene was when Cheech Marion was outside selling Pussy...lmao Overall it was a pretty good flick. I did not like the fact that when I went to the theater to see this movie anticipating a vamp movie, I pretty much was like WTF through the entire thing until towards the end when you finally got to see the vampires...lol

#12 Monster Squad

Likes/Dislikes: I thought this movie was fantastic. I thought it had some funny as hell scenes in it with the kids. Although this movie should be watch by parents before they let their children see it, only because there is adult language and inuendos as well as it may be to scary for some. Other then that it was great...lol "Wolfman Gots Nards"...lmao

#11 Van Helsing

Likes/Dislikes: I thought this was a cool movie. The special effects were great and so was the concept of the story line. I liked that fact that they were suggesting that Dracula was a fallen angel and Van Helsing was the angel Gabriel. I really liked the actor who portrayed Dracula, I thought he was nice and seductive. There were a few funny parts and quotes in the movie that I thought was cool. There really was not much I did not like about this movie except for the bit of a sappy ending...lol

#10 Stephen King's THe Night Flier and Salem's Lot are tied in this spot

Likes/Dislikes: I feel both were fantastic movies. There is really nothing I can say bad about either one of them. They are both fantastic and Love Stephen King so what would you expect...lol Although amny people know of Salem's Lot, I don't know many who know of The Night Flier. If you have never seen it, rent it you will not be disapointed.

#9 John Carpenter's Vampires

Likes/Dislikes: I thought this was a fantastic movie. I loved James Woods, he was funny as shit in this movie. Thomas Ian Griffith's portrayal of Valek, the master vampire, was awesome. He was plain old ruthless!!! There was nothing romantic about these vampires, they "lived" (haha) up to the name Monsters!!!

#8 Underworld Evolution

Likes/Dislikes: Great sequel to the 1st movie. Liked how it explained a bit for the 1st one on what all was being talked about and how it all started.

#7 Underworld

Likes/Dislikes: Thought this was a great flick. It brought a new way of looking at vampires. Loved the fact that they were in a war with the werewolves as they were called "Licans" in the movie. The special effects were phenominal. Kate Beckesale was great as Selene. It was an action packed movie, what more could you want?!

#6 The Dark Prince: The True Story of Dracula

Likes/Dislikes: This is a story based on the man known as Vlad "The Impaler". Bram Stoker based his story of Dracula on this person. I liked this movie because it was about him more then the myths.

#5 The Lost Boys

Likes/Dislikes: Come on it is the Lost Boys!!! You have Keifer Sutherland and Jason Patrick portraying 2 Teens, one a bad boy and the other new to the town, that just want to have a good time and that don't like eachother and want the same girl, oh and did I mention they were vampires...lol What kind of person wouldn't like a movie full of teenage bloodsuckers...lol

#4 Fright Night

Likes/Dislikes: This is a classic!! Need I saw anymore?!...lol If you have not seen this movie there is something wrong with you!!

#3 Twilight

Likes/Dislikes: LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!! Event hough people were saying it is a teeny bopper movie , I agree only to an extent. Yes, they are teens and possibly steers more towards them, but I am 30 years old and am hooked on the movie...lol What girl/woman of any age would not want to have a boyfriend like Edward Cullen?! After I am don't with my Sookie Stackhouse novels, I am planning on reading the Twilight books. Even though the vamps have no vamp teeth and they tend to glitter instead of bursting into flames in the sunlight, I have to say this movie was fantastic!!!

#2 Hammer's Brides of Dracula (1960)

Likes/Dislikes: This is an age old classic. Maybe not as classic as Bella Legosi's Dracula, but a classic horror film just the same. I loved this movie ever since I was a kid, and to this day still consider it one of my favorite films. Granted, to some poeple, this movie may make them laugh since th special effects are very old, but I still think it is one of the greatest vampire films out there.

#1 1977 BBC Count Dracula - with Louis Jourdan
(can not find a trailer for this movie but here are a few clips)

Likes/Dislikes: There is nothing bad I can say about this film. To me this is my all time favorite Vampire/Dracula movie ever made!! Even though it was a BBC made for TV movie, I think this is the best one of all time!!! it is abit long, like I think 3 hours...lol, but it is well worth sitting through it and you don't even notice the time. Louis Jordan portrays Count Dracula. I know many people, unless you are a vamp/horror fanatic knows of this film. I would advise anyone who has never seeen it before to go and rent this film, curl up in a blanket with some popcorn in the dark and enjoy!!!

OK!'s Countdown to the Hotest Vampire Couples

Blame it on Béla Lugosi, Bram Stoker, Anne Rice... the list of those who have brought sex appeal to the undead has captivated readers and movie audiences for centuries — especially when it comes to the undeniable attraction between the bloodthirsty vamp and his mortal victim!OK! decided to put together some of our favorite vampire couples through the years. Call it our "sexiest couples" list with a biting twist!

#1:Who can deny the sexual heat between True Blood's Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer)? The brooding centuries-old Bill falls for the naive and virginal waitress, Sookie, and to say that sparks fly — well, take a look for yourself!

#2
The next hot vampire couple is a blast from the past. David Boreanaz made the undead cool--even something to be desired as the hunky and tortured vampire Angel on t.v.'s Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Even Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) herself couldn't help falling in love with this bloodsucker with a debonair flair, spiking the show's ratings and even landing David with his own Vampy spinoff, Angel.
(didn't like the video they had so I thought this one was better..lol)

#3
Next on our list, a recent favorite, the gorgeous Edward Cullen and Bella Swan from Twilight! Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart take teen angst to a whole new level as Edward (a century-old vampire trapped in a 17-year-old heartthrob's body) can't decide whether he wants to kill or marry his mortal obsession, Bella. Guess we'll just have to wait for the sequel, New Moon!
(Again liked this video alot better)

#4
Bram Stoker's Dracula enchanted movie audiences with its haunting love story between a crusades fighter who sells his soul to the devil after losing his beloved queen. Centuries later, the count, now the immortal Dracula (Gary Oldman) thinks he's found his dead queen reincarnated in a 19th century girl, Mena (Winona Ryder) and he will stop at nothing to get her back.

#5
Next on our list: the infamous pairing of Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise as lonely bloodsuckers in Anne Rice's Interview with a Vampire. While technically both leading men play vamps, Cruise's Lestat first sees a human Louis (Pitt) and becomes obsessed with him, later deciding to make him his immortal life partner.

#6
Who could forget the '80s cult classic, The Lost Boys? When Michael (Jason Patric) and his brother move to a new town, he falls for the beautiful Star (Jami Gertz). But what he doesn't know is that she has a terrible secret and an even darker group of friends who prey on the living!

#7
Aaliyah wowed critics and audiences with her disturbing portrayal as Queen Akasha, a powerful vampire with the ability to seduce--and seduce she does in Queen of the Damned, luring the young, just turned vampire Lestat to be her King.

#8
In Underworld, Kate Beckinsale plays Selene, a sexy vampire warrior entrenched in a war between the vampire and werewolf races. She ends up falling for Michael (Scott Speedman), a werewolf who longs for the war to end.
(This scene may be from the 2nd Underworld film but I think it was a good clip for this category)

#9
In 1983's The Hunger, a young Susan Sarandon falls prey to the worldly wiles of vampire couple David Bowie and Catherine Deneuve. And when Bowie's bloodsucker falls apart (literally), the path is clear for Susan and Catherine do more than a little bit of nocturnal canoodling.
