Eric's Inner Struggle

Alexander Skarsgård has revealed that he is enjoying Eric's "vulnerability" in this season of True Blood.

Eric recently lost his memory after Marnie (Fiona Shaw) cast a spell on him.

Skarsgård has now explained that he is enjoying playing a different version of Eric.

"I love Eric's vulnerability," he told TV Guide. "But it's tricky because even though he doesn't know who he is, you can't play it too flat."

Skarsgård added that Eric currently has an "inner struggle", saying: "If they break the spell, then Eric finds out about all the things he's done in the past and who he really is, and that scares him. He's like, 'Hey, I'm kind of happy in this little house with Sookie'."

True Blood's executive producer Alan Ball has revealed that Eric and Sookie (Anna Paquin) will be "genuinely falling in love" during the season. However, cast member Stephen Moyer, who is married to Paquin, said that he was not uncomfortable with the scenes between the pair.

Describing the Sookie and Eric moments as "the best stuff that's in the show", he said: "It could have been really difficult, but it's about being professional. And we all really like each other."
