True Blood's executive producer Alan Ball has confirmed that Sookie will begin to develop feelings for Eric.
Ball explained that Sookie (Anna Paquin) will begin to become attracted to Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) because of his amnesia, which was caused by a witch's spell.
"There's some fun stuff with Sookie and her men coming down the pike," Ball told TV Guide.
"The [amnesia] spell has created an Eric that never would have existed before, and that is the person Sookie is falling for. They're both genuinely falling in love."
However, Ball added that Sookie's former partner Bill (Stephen Moyer) will be unhappy about the developments.
"He doesn't like it one bit," he said. "But eventually the clash between the witches and vampires is going to bring everyone together."
