Being Human creator Toby Whithouse has dropped some hints about the show's fourth series.
Writing on the show's official blog, the scribe revealed his "usual cryptic nuggets" about what viewers can expect in future episodes.
"There will be lots of new faces, an old face, a genuinely shocking death, a new villain [and] a sort-of new kind of supernatural [creature]," he revealed.
He added: "[There's also] a new writer and [we take] a journey to somewhere even we have never gone before."
Whithouse claimed that pre-production on the supernatural drama's fourth run had been "a joy".
"Each series gets harder to make as, hopefully, we set the bar higher and higher," he said. "But I think we've got another corker for you."
Whithouse previously confirmed to Digital Spy that the werewolf Tom (Michael Socha) will return to Being Human, while Submarine star Craig Roberts also revealed that he will reprise his role as the vampire Adam in an upcoming episode.
The show will return to BBC Three for eight 60-minute episodes in 2012.
